Bob Butler started with Butler Learning Systems™ (BLS) as a youngster doing chores around the building. After graduating college in 1978 from Bowling Green State University, he moved into the areas of graphics production, sales and facilitation of Butler programs. He co-authored the company’s sales, service and leadership training programs with his father and founder of BLS, Don Butler.
As second generation, Bob continues to position BLS as a training publisher with over 30 programs in leadership, sales and service. His vast knowledge and experience stems from working with top management and their associates in literally hundreds of companies and industries, under the guidance and direction of Don Butler. Bob attributes his success to over 20 years of facilitating sales, service and leadership seminars to well over 100,000 people, learning from them as they were learning from him.
In 1996 Bob succeeded his father, who retired, as president and CEO of BLS. Under Bob’s leadership, revenue doubled and BLS emerged as “sales training experts” after 50 years in the training business. Bob’s love and focus on sales training was the result of developing the last project with his father entitled, “The Sales Professional® Certified Selling System.”
In 2004, BLS completely restructured to better serve its customers and Bob’s vision of growth. He has surrounded himself with a multi-talented executive team who shares his passion and true ability to change lives.
Today, Bob’s main mission is to certify thousands of Sales Professionals in honor and recognition of his father’s vision. He continues to lead BLS with a team approach during these challenging times.
