The Sales Professional® Certified Selling System

At the beginning of the 20th Century, John Henry Patterson, founder of NCR, made Dayton, Ohio famous in the business world. He
became known as the “Father of Modern Selling.” Patterson was the first person to bring salespeople together and train them on how to
be more professional and successful in selling. BLS continues this leadership in selling out of Dayton. Don Butler spent over 50 years of
his life perfecting the Selling Process that originated in “The Habit of Selling™” in 1949.  In 1974, Butler registered the term “The Sales
Professional®” with the U.S. Patent Office with the advent of women entering the sales profession. During the late 1990s, BLS started
certifying Sales Professionals, constantly updating and improving the training curriculum. Today, BLS is pleased to offer “The Sales
Professional® Certified Selling System,” a comprehensive, three-level approach for the selling profession. Your Sales Professionals are
eligible for TSP Certification after completing the three certified sales training programs, or the equivalent. Certification is granted by BLS
based on over 50 years of selling experience and backed by hundreds of thousands of Sales Professionals who have verified the
effectiveness of the Selling Process. BLS keeps a permanent record of each person certified. Once certified, The Sales Professional® is
entitled to use the initials “TSP” to authenticate certification and is empowered with all the rights and privileges. It is an honor to be
recognized as “The Sales Professional®.”
